Aircharge Pit Stop a Highlight of 88th Geneva Motor Show

The Geneva Motor Show has for decades been the ultimate opportunity for the biggest and best names in the automotive industry to show the world their next big thing.

For the event, Aircharge created a Qi wireless charging pit stop at the Skoda stand, providing motor enthusiasts and exhibitors the chance to top up their batteries throughout the show. Skoda was an early adopter of Qi wireless charging, with several of their vehicles now offering wireless charging pads as either a standard or optional feature. These pads offer wireless charging for any Qi compatible phone including the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X, together with flagship devices from Samsung, LG, Sony, Nokia and many others, as well as our range of MFi iPhone cases.

Joining those manufacturers who have already embraced wireless charging is Porsche, who used the event to unveil their “concept study” Cross Turismo; a beautiful yet sturdy all-electric SUV which features – for the first time in a Porsche – a wireless charging pad between the two rear seats.

The automotive industry continues to demonstrate that wireless charging is a feature consumers both expect and enjoy, and as a result, more models are likely to come equipped with Qi wireless charging pads in the future.
