South Korean tech manufacturer LG to include wireless charging in the new variant of the G6
When LG released its flagship G6 model in March 2017, they only included the wireless charging feature in the version of the handsets supplied to the US market. Recognising the significant growth of the wireless charging market globally and the benefits of charging wirelessly for smartphone owners, LG has now announced that Qi wireless charging will be included in the G6 Plus as standard for all customers. The G6 Plus will also feature expanded storage, improved audio quality and a range of light-reflective colour options, however it is the addition of Qi wireless charging that remains the most exciting improvement in the new G6 Plus, enabling owners to recharge the battery by simply placing the device directly on any Qi compatible charger. The LG G6 Plus joins a growing family of Qi compatible smartphones now approaching 100 models. The true benefits and convenience of wireless charging can be experienced via Aircharge’s large ecosystem spanning across home, office, car and public venue solutions. Via the use of the app, Aircharge allows users to charge at over 4,000 public locations globally, including restaurants, cafés, hotels, airports and train stations.
