Volvo In-Car Wireless Charging

Volvo has introduced Qi wireless charging in the XC40. The wireless charging solution consists of a Qi-enabled angled tray located in the centre console below the infotainment display.

HOW TO USE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR VOLVO

To charge your Qi-compatible smartphone, simply place the device face up on the charging tray. Charging will start automatically.

iPHONE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR VOLVO - COMPATIBILITY

The Volvo charging solution is compatible with the universal Qi standard. All Qi-enabled smartphones including the iPhone 8 and iPhone X can be charged directly from the charger. Larger phablet size devices like the iPhone 8 Plus or Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus may not fit in the tray phone holder solution.

Apple iPhone models prior to the iPhone 8 will require a wireless charging accessory like the Aircharge 'Made for iPhone' Wireless Charging Case to enable the device to work with Qi chargers.
