Aircharge in Emirates Lounges – Wireless Charging Takes Off

Sep 10, 2015

Emirates Lounge Wireless Charger

Thirty of aircharge's wireless charging valet trays have been installed in the First Class and Business Class Lounges in Concourse A, B and C in Dubai airport to give Emirates passengers the benefits of wireless charging while on the move.

"Our aspiration is to provide greater comfort for our customers and hassle-free, seamless travel experience. Mobile devices are an intrinsic part of our lives, and at Emirates we see free Wi-Fi and Qi wireless charging on the go as becoming the norm in the future travel experience," Mohammed Mattar, Divisional Senior VP Emirates Airport Services explained, "We are working with leading technology providers to launch a broader and more evolved deployment of wireless charging in our Lounges and look forward to expanding this service for our customers."

The addition of Aircharge units to highly visible locations in the First and Business Class lounges is a great step forward for passengers, especially given the difficulty often faced when trying to find a source of power for charging phones in public areas such as airports.

Hailed as an “important development in the industry” by the Wireless Power Consortium, the addition of Aircharge wireless valet trays to the lounges combines the invaluable practicality and stylish design that makes Aircharge a leader in the field of wireless phone charging today.

If you find yourself running low on battery in the Emirates lounges or any of the other public locations where we've installed our wireless chargers, why not check your device's compatibility on our user guide page? Even handsets such as iPhone which don't have wireless charging capabilities built-in can use the Aircharge solution by utilising one of our MFi certified wireless charging receivers.
