The new 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport offers wireless phone charging through a unique charging pad. The built-in mat is located in the centre console and holds the phone securely in place. It's large enough to fit smartphones in a range of sizes. The new Discovery along with the 2018-2020 Range Rover Velar, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport comes with the option of adding a wireless phone charging cupholder. The charger is located on the centre console, and it keeps the phone in plain view. It can accommodate phones up to 2.83 inches wide.

HOW TO USE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR Land Rover

To charge with the wireless charging centre console solution, simply place the device on the charger. The centre console charger is large enough to fit a range of smartphone sizes.

 

With the charging cup holder solution, place your phone in the slot that is present within the wireless charging cup holder solution. The charger will display and LED light to indicate when it is charging.  

iPHONE WIRELESS CHARGING IN YOUR Land Rover - COMPATIBILITY

The Land Rover charging solutions are compatible with the universal Qi standard. All Qi-enabled smartphones including the iPhone 8 and iPhone X can be charged directly from the charger, however larger phablet size devices like the iPhone 8 Plus or Samsung S8 Plus won't fit in the tray phone holder solution.

Apple iPhone models prior to the iPhone 8 will require a wireless charging accessory like the Aircharge 'Made for iPhone' Wireless Charging Case to enable the device to work with Qi chargers.
