Aircharge NYC McDonald's installation Features on CNBC
Officially opening today, McDonald’s newest flagship store in the heart of New York City is expected to be among America's busiest McDonald's. Technological and digital advancements are at the core of the restaurant’s customers' experience, with personalization and convenience at the forefront of the design.
The news has been first reported by CNBC, which dedicated the restaurant opening an extensive article.
Following the same ‘Experience of the Future’ concept seen in two other flagship restaurants launched in Chicago last year – Headquarters and Rock ‘n Roll, the brand new Times Square site exemplifies McDonald’s strategy to appeal to younger generations through technology upgrades and innovation.
The new McDonald’s restaurant features digital menu boards, 18 self-order kiosks, two vertical food transport systems and the Aircharge Qi wireless chargers deployed in tables, with the objective to provide an enhanced experience to customers, drive extra footfall and encourage repeated visits.
Perfectly integrating into McDonald’s furniture décor, the Aircharge wireless charging points are available on the communal tables, enabling customers to top up their devices whilst having a meal or drink without having to bring a cable or try to access power sockets.
Aircharge is already available in over 500 McDonald’s locations across 16 markets, with Australia being the latest addition. All Aircharge McDonald’s locations are available on the Aircharge locator app, pointing users to the closest wireless charging location.
