Jan 31, 2019

CEO Steve Liquorish discusses with Ian King how wireless charging is supporting large and small businesses globally.

Aircharge Founder and CEO Steve Liquorish was invited to appear on Sky News daily business program Ian King Live to talk about the overall growth of mobile phone wireless charging and how Aircharge is developing an intelligent IoT connected solution to support large and small businesses such as restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, shops, airport, train stations and gyms, by driving extra footfall to their venues, increasing revenue and improving customer loyalty and retention.

Jags Manhota, UK franchise of Second Cup - the Canadian coffee retailer operating more than 300 cafes internationally, was also present in the studio and shared his experience installing Aircharge in the first coffee shop in Birmingham. Mr Manhota saw an increased in people visiting the store, spend per customer and total revenue since deploying Aircharge, something he directly attributes to the new feature being available to customers visiting his venue.

Second Cup coffee shop in Birmingham can be found on the Aircharge app along with more than 5,000 public locations globally. Over 1,000,000 people use the app on a daily basis to find the closest location or favourite brand to charge their devices. The latest version of the app allows users to also redeem offers and discounts, something Second Cup is already taking advantage of.
