Following recently being appointed chair of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) Infrastructure Application Group (IAG), Aircharge today announced that it has also been elected to co-chair the global WPC Promotional Working Group (PWG). It is also acting chair of the European sub-group of the PWG
Aircharge joins existing chair, Convenient Power and co-chair Texas Instruments in this position on the PWG, which exists to develop and execute WPC and Qi marketing and communication strategy.
“The wireless power industry is on the edge of a rapid acceleration phase, with products incorporating the WPC Qi specification leading the way", commented Steven Liquorish, Founder and CEO of Aircharge. “Raising awareness of wireless charging to both consumers and businesses is equally as important as developing the infrastructure to support it. Established in 2008, the Wireless Power Consortium is an open, collaborative standards development group of more than 200 company members.
