Aircharge extends partnership with Eurostar to provide wireless charging facilities in Paris Gare du Nord and London St. Pancras International

21st June 2017, London – Aircharge, leader in bringing Qi wireless charging to public venues, has announced today the deployment of the Aircharge mobile phone wireless charging solution in the luxurious Eurostar Business Premier lounge at Paris Gare du Nord, which opened in its new location in February 2017. This follows the success of the Aircharge wireless charging facilities installed in the Eurostar Business Premier lounge at London St Pancras International last year and extends the service to all Business Premier customers and Eurostar carte blanche members travelling from the two cities.

As travellers have become more reliant on mobile devices during their journey, including the use of mobile check-in and boarding applications, itineraries, booking sites, mobile payments and onboard wi-fi, access to free charging opportunities is vital. The new installation at Paris Gare du Nord includes 34 wireless surface chargers strategically positioned across long tables and coffee tables to enable customers to easily charge their devices whilst enjoying their time in the lounge. Aircharge’s unique solution allows smartphones to be charged wirelessly, including models without built-in wireless charging capabilities, thanks to the use of the Aircharge “Orb”-  the world’s first and only multi-head connector carrying the Qi and Made for iPhone certifications.

Following positive customer feedback in London, we were happy to extend the simplicity and convenience of at-seat wireless charging to Paris. Aircharge implementation in Eurostar business lounges follows the continued deployment in public venues and transportation hubs like London St Pancras, where Aircharge is extensively available across restaurants, cafés, shops, lounges and surrounding hotels. Via the Aircharge locator app, users can locate the closest wireless charging facility out of 4,500 public locations and navigate to their favourite brands to benefit from complimentary wireless charging whenever they need.
